About FIRE
FIRE is the education arm of FluxForce, a deep-tech company building AI systems for production environments.
What FIRE is
FIRE — the FluxForce Institute for Responsible Engineering — trains engineers and teams to build AI systems and prove they are safe to run. It is the education arm of FluxForce, a deep-tech company building AI systems for production environments.
Why it exists
There is no shortage of AI courses. There is a shortage of engineers who can take an AI system into production and answer for it — who can show the evaluation, explain the failure modes, and demonstrate what happens when the model is wrong. That gap is what we set out to close.

How we teach
It comes from building systems, not from summarising documentation. The failure modes we teach are ones we have hit. The patterns we teach are ones that survived contact with production. When we say a technique does not work as advertised, it is because we tried it.
Every module begins with a system that was actually shipped: what it was meant to do, how it failed, and what it took to make it hold in production. You learn to measure a model before you learn to prompt it, and nothing you build is considered finished until it has an evaluation behind it.
The stack is vendor-neutral. Open-weight models, hosted APIs and on-prem deployments are taught side by side, so you choose by constraint — cost, latency, data residency, auditability — rather than by brand.
Every program ends with an artifact you own: a working system, its evaluation results, and a written account of where it breaks and why. That is what you show an employer or a regulator, not a certificate of attendance.
Our commitments
These are commitments we hold ourselves to. If we ever break one, we expect to be called on it.
We will not Guarantee placement, or publish outcome statistics we cannot document
Hiring outcomes depend on the market and on you. We publish only the numbers we can stand behind, with the method used to collect them.
We will not Describe ourselves as a university, or imply accreditation we do not hold
FIRE is an institute run by a company that builds AI systems. We do not award degrees, and we will not dress up a certificate as one.
We will not Run attendance-based certificates — every program requires an artifact you built
Showing up is not a skill. A FIRE certificate means you shipped something, evaluated it, and can explain how it fails.
We will not Teach a single vendor's stack and call it AI engineering
Tooling changes every quarter. Engineering judgement about when to use which tool, and what it costs you, does not.

Our team
Everyone who teaches at FIRE builds AI systems for a living. Team profiles with real names, credentials and code are published — we do not use anonymous instructors.
Team profiles are still being finalized. See Faculty for the current status.
