Certifications

Four certificates, each earned by building and defending a working system — not by attendance.

How FIRE certification works

You earn a FIRE certificate by shipping the artifacts a program requires and defending them to a technical panel. There is no attendance certificate, and no multiple-choice exam. If the artifact does not work, the certificate is not issued.

The certificates

  • FIRE Certified AI Engineer — foundations plus LLM engineering. Demonstrates you can build and evaluate a retrieval-backed AI system.
  • FIRE Certified Agentic Engineer — the agentic track. Demonstrates you can design, evaluate, secure and deploy an agent system.
  • FIRE Certified Responsible AI Engineer — evaluation, governance and red-teaming. Demonstrates you can bring an existing system under control.
  • FIRE Certified Sovereign AI Practitioner — local models, residency and architecture. Demonstrates you can design within a boundary.

What this certificate is and is not

It is a certificate of completion issued by FIRE, backed by assessed artifacts. It is not a degree, a diploma, or a government-accredited qualification, and we will never describe it as one. Its value is the work behind it and the panel that assessed it.

Verification

Each certificate carries an identifier an employer can verify with us. TODO — public verification page to be published.
